WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN?

Check-in for accommodation is from 2pm.

Check-out for accommodation is before 10am.

IS THE ACCOMMODATION PET-FRIENDLY?

Yes, our cottages are pet-friendly at an additional pet fee. No dogs allowed in the Glamping tents or inside the pool area.

​

CAN WE BRING IN EXTRA TENTS/CARAVANS/SWAGS FOR ADDITIONAL PEOPLE?

No, we are not licensed for this – we have strict council guidelines of how we can operate and our maximum occupancy. BIG4 Whiters Holiday Village down the road offers a 10% discount if you mention wedding guest at Eight Acres.

DO THE GLAMPING TENTS HAVE POWER?

Yes, our Glamping tents do have power to charge your device and electric blankets ready for you to keep you warm throughout the colder nights or a portable fan for the hot summer days.

IS THERE ROOM TO PARK OUR BOAT/TRAILER?

Yes, each there's allocated parking is provided for each room type.

Glamping tents- 1 vehicle

Two bedroom cottages- 2 vehicles or 1 vehicle + boat/trailer

DO YOU HAVE WIFI?

No, there's no WiFi. There's is full phone coverage throughout the entire property.

WHAT IS YOUR SMOKING POLICY?

Smoking allowed in designated areas only. Smoking inside any rooms/communal spaces is strictly prohibited. If there is any evidence of smoking inside rooms you will be charged an additional $500 fee for a specialized clean to eliminate odours. Please ensure doors and windows are closed if smoking near rooms.

WHAT'S THE BED CONFIGURATION IN THE COTTAGES?

Master bedroom: 1 x King bed

Second bedroom: 1x Queen bed, 1x Single bed

CAN I BRING MY CHILD/INFANT IN THE GLAMPING TENT?

No sorry, our Glamping tents are strictly adults only.

DO YOU HAVE A RESTAURANT/ COMMERCIAL KITCHEN ONSITE?

No, we don't have a restaurant/ commercial kitchen onsite.

DO WE HAVE TO SUPPLY OUR OWN FIREWOOD?

You can pre-order a firewood pack upon booking and have it ready to go for arrival.

​

DO YOU SUPPLY HAMPERS?

You can pre-order a BBQ pack, breakfast or gourmet hamper supplied by the local Farmer & The Cook, and get it delivered to your Glamping tent or Cottage. Perfect for enjoying in-room, by the pool or packed up for a picnic. To pre-order go to www.eightacreslakesentrance.com.au/hampersandextras.

DO YOU PROVIDE PORTACOTS?

Yes we do, you can book a portacot at and additional $30 fee per stay. Select upon booking or contact us directly to add onto your booking.

DO YOU PROVIDE HIGH CHAIRS?

Yes we do, you can book a highchair at an additional $20 fee per stay. Select upon booking or contact us directly to add onto your booking.

IF WE ARRIVE EARLIER TO THE PROPERTY, CAN WE STORE OUR BAGS SOMEWHERE? 

We don’t have a luggage storage or guest reception onsite. We advise for our guests to keep any luggage locked in the car until the accommodation type is ready for check in.

IS IT SAFE TO DRINK WATER FROM THE TAP?

The entire property runs of rainwater tanks, which means it's collected from rain water or in the busier months we get it delivered. Generally yes, a properly maintained rainwater tank can provide good quality drinking water. 

​

WEDDINGS

 

CAN WE HIRE THE PROPERTY FOR OUR CEREMONY ONLY?

Our property lay-out doesn't allow to have events onsite mixed with regular guests, hence why you'll have exclusive access to the entire property including the accommodation. This is what makes Eight Acres so unique, to have your wedding and an amazing getaway for your guests at the same time. Therefore, it is not possible to hire the property for your ceremony only.

 

DO YOU PROVIDE FURNITURE FOR WEDDINGS?

The Wedshed includes a basic set up with 8 wine barrels and 16 metal bar stools. Any other required furniture can be hired through our recommended vendors.

IS THERE A NOISE CURFEW?

As per council noise regulations; all amplified music must be turned off by 10:30pm on Friday, Saturday or the day immediately before a public holiday and 10pm on weekdays.

​

WHAT TIME DO WE GET ACCESS FOR SET UP AND PACK DOWN?

You'll have access to the property from 10am on arrival day and until 12pm on departure day. This gives you time for your hire equipment to arrive and be set up, as well as time after the event for everything to be packed down and picked up.

WHAT'S THE HIRE FEE FOR THE EVENT STRETCH TENT?

To hire the event stretch tent which is 8,5m x 8,5m will be an additional $750 fee including set up and break down.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN THE PROPERTY SLEEP?

The property includes accommodation for up to 55 people across our 7 x 2-bedroom cottages and 5 Glamping tents:

  • 35 in cottages

  • 20 in glamping tents (if you use the day beds for two people)

 

DO THE CATERERS HAVE ACCESS TO WATER & ELECTRICITY?

Yes.

DOES THE WEDSHED HAVE DRINKABLE WATER?

No, there's no access to drinkable water inside the Wedshed, so we highly recommend to provide bottled water for your guests.
